The Daguiao Foundation, Inc.
Established in 1989, The Daguiao Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded by members of Opus Dei to support education, leadership, values formation, and community development across Panay Island. Based in Iloilo City, the Foundation focuses on youth empowerment, educational support, spiritual reflection, and the development of strong personal and professional values. Through its programs and initiatives, it seeks to help young people grow in character, capability, and purpose.
Tuburan Study Center
The Foundation's flagship project, Tuburan Study Center, opened in 1991 and has since provided cultural, educational, character, and spiritual formation to thousands of students, professional men, and families through seminars, workshops, recollections, retreats, catechism sessions, work camps, relief operations, and medical and dental clinics.
Tuburan is the Hiligaynon word for a spring, and that is the vision for the Center: a continuous source of purpose, inspiration, renewal, and growth.
Building the New Tuburan
After years of frequent flooding, the original Tuburan building was demolished in 2021. The site of the New Tuburan Study Center was blessed and broke ground on 27 June 2026.
The new center is envisioned as a multi-story learning facility with spaces for study, mentoring, reflection, and personal and spiritual growth: a place where young people discover their purpose, fathers find the tools to lead their families, and professionals learn to serve society through their daily work.
