Mengal Women Center
The Mengal Women Center is a community-based initiative of the Mengal Women Organization (MWO) providing women and children with access to support, protection, and opportunities for growth. Through legal assistance, VAWC awareness, livelihood training, and other community programs, the Center helps empower women to become more informed, independent, and better equipped to support their families.
Safe shelter for the Cagayan Valley
In response to the growing need for safe shelter and immediate protection, the organization established the Mengal Women Center to serve women and children not only in Echague but across the Cagayan Valley Region.
The Center provides refuge together with counseling, psychological support, legal assistance, spiritual guidance, and reintegration programs, so that survivors can heal and start anew with dignity and hope.
Reaching every barangay
The organization brings its VAWC seminars to the 64 barangays of Echague, including its far-flung areas, and runs free livelihood training in sewing, food processing, crafts, and housekeeping so that women can earn their own income and build a better future for their families.
